Mabel Walker Willebrandt was an Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1921 to 1929, heading the division that, among other things, enforced violations of the National Prohibition Act, also known as the Volstead Act. Willebrandt argued over 40 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. (photo source)
